Synopsis
In this structural film, Ernie Gehr uses a glass elevator attached to San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel to ascend and descend its 24 stories, continuously altering the orientation of his camera to present the city as a space in constant motion, unbound by gravity and in continuous transformation.
