A career‑driven magazine editor and a cantankerous pilot are forced to team up when a storm wrecks their plane on a deserted island, where they must battle the elements and evade ruthless pirates to escape.

Synopsis
In Polynesia’s South Pacific, on Makatea Island, taciturn pilot Quinn Harris makes a living transporting goods in his De Havilland Beaver and lives quietly as he wishes until he encounters Robin Monroe, an assistant editor of a New York magazine who is vacationing for a week with her boyfriend Frank Martin. An urgent work assignment in Tahiti compels Robin to reluctantly hire Quinn to fly her there, but a violent storm forces an emergency landing on a deserted island. Initially avoiding one another, the pair must eventually cooperate to escape the island and evade pirates pursuing them, while danger and temptation remain ever present.
