Slapper
Synopsis
Taylah is a rebellious and impoverished teenager living in rural Australian suburbia. After a brief sexual encounter, she urgently needs to raise money for the morning-after pill before it is too late. While scrambling to gather the funds, she is also tasked with babysitting a difficult and unruly five-year-old named Vegas. As Taylah struggles to cope, her intelligence and resilience are put to the test in a landscape defined by economic hardship, as she fights to maintain control over her own body in the face of poverty.
