Synopsis
The film is based on a folk tale and explores the idea that one cannot escape their destiny. The story is set in an unspecified location several centuries ago. A wealthy landlord, unable to have children despite being married to a young wife, hires an unknown drifter who is wandering through the region, with the hope that the drifter will provide him with an heir.
