Grieving widower Paul reluctantly takes in a homeless stranger, only to discover that helping the man reconnect with his estranged father forces him to confront his own loss before a mysterious newborn threatens to upend their fragile lives.

Synopsis
Writer Paul Benjamin is nearly hit by a bus as he exits Auggie Wren's smoke shop. A stranger named Rashid Cole saves his life, and soon after, middle-aged Paul suggests to the homeless Rashid that he wouldn't mind having him as a short-term housemate. Still grieving the murder of his wife, Paul is affected by Rashid's efforts to reconnect with his father, as well as Auggie's revelation that a woman who may be his daughter is about to give birth.
