Sonchiriya
A gang of ruthless outlaws in the lawless Chambal Valley turns to a desperate act of redemption when they encounter a woman and her abused daughter, while evading a deadly police trap.
Synopsis
In 1975, in the lawless Chambal Valley, a gang of bandits led by Maan Singh engages in a series of violent crimes. Calling themselves Bhaagis, or rebels, the group survives on robbery and attacks local villages. Having previously committed a particularly disgraceful act, they are relentlessly pursued by the police. When Maan Singh learns of a gold treasure set to be exchanged at a wedding, the gang sets their sights on the event. Unbeknownst to them, it is a police trap. Several gang members narrowly escape and retreat into the harsh, barren landscape. As they debate their next move, they encounter a woman from the lowest caste who is being pursued by a family clan. With her is a girl who was raped and seriously injured by the clan's leader. Seeing an opportunity to make amends for their past crime, the bandits consider helping her.
