Synopsis
Waldemar Nods, a young man from Suriname, meets the older Dutch woman Rika van der Lans, and they fall in love. In pre-World War II Netherlands, their relationship faces significant challenges. Waldemar is Black, while Rika is white, and there is a 17-year age gap between them. Additionally, Rika already has four children with another man. Despite these differences, they are in love, and Rika soon becomes pregnant.
