Synopsis

Connie has enjoyed a stable and successful career and private life for many years. That stability is disrupted when the son of the company's CEO takes over the business, introducing new demands, including the requirement that English becomes the official language of the workplace. Concerned about losing her job, Connie enrolls in an intensive English course in Ireland. However, the perfectionist is unprepared for the unconventional teaching style of her instructor, Gillian, a warm-hearted but slightly chaotic woman who works as a funeral director and sees her role as a vocation. Connie also struggles with her classmate Max, a Tom Jones impersonator who is in Ireland to spend time with his 16-year-old daughter, Amy. Unlike Connie, Max has little interest in rules and structure. As the course progresses, Connie begins to realize that what she is missing in her carefully controlled life may be more than just fluency in English. But is she ready to abandon her routine and step into the unknown?
