Synopsis
Bruce Franks Jr. is a 34-year-old battle rapper, Ferguson activist, and state representative from St. Louis, Missouri. Known as Superman to his constituents, he is a political figure marked by contradictions and deep insights, having overcome significant personal loss to emerge as one of the most prominent and unapologetic young leaders in the country. This short verité documentary captures Bruce at a pivotal moment in his life, as he confronts the mental trauma he has carried for nearly 30 years since his 9-year-old brother was shot and killed in front of him. The film follows his journey as he seeks peace and aims to fully realize his role as a leader for his community.
