Stalin's Last Plot

In January 1953, on the eve of his death, Joseph Stalin identified yet another perceived threat: Jewish doctors. He initiated the most intense anti-Semitic campaign in the history of the USSR by fabricating the "Doctors' Plot," an alleged conspiracy in which doctors were accused of planning to assassinate top Soviet officials. The conspiracy, which remains largely unknown and undocumented, marked the culmination of a political strategy orchestrated by Stalin to reframe Jews as the new enemy of the Soviet people. It reflected his deepening paranoia and his tendency to manipulate those around him. For the first time, the children and close associates of the primary victims recount their personal experiences and the emotional toll of these harrowing events.
