Star Wreck: Lost Contact

In *Star Wreck V: Lost Contact*, Pirk finds himself stranded in the past. It was the first *Star Wreck* film to use live actors instead of animated characters. Due to budget constraints, the production opted for bluescreen technology, using a cheap blue bed-sheet as a backdrop. The blue screen was later replaced with digital spaceship bridges. The film is a parody of *Star Trek: First Contact*, in which the Korg send a ship back to 20th-century Earth. The only operational P-fleet ship, the Kickstart, is forced to follow. The Korg's plan involves assassinating rockstar Jeffrey Cochbrane (played by Rudi Airisto and a pair of sunglasses) and his band, Dethdestro, before their concert draws the attention of Vulgars. This would prevent humanity's first contact with aliens and alter the future. To make matters worse, Jeff only wants to play loud music and drink excessively, leaving Pirk and his crew to convince him to save the world.
