Synopsis
Harry Cliewer is a prominent television journalist at the peak of his career. His bold interview with a leading banker sparks a scandal and becomes a major ratings success. Around the same time, his son Alex releases a novel that serves as a confrontation with his father. In the book, Alex portrays Harry as "greedy, horny, and egotistical." The situation becomes increasingly intolerable for Cliewer, prompting him to flee—going as far as possible from the media spotlight he both thrives in and is controlled by. He also distances himself from his long-term partner, Amanda, whom he is cheating on but cannot fully leave behind.
