Synopsis

The story revolves around the death of a dog, depicted in a subsequent film, a violent death occurring within a veterinarian's clinic; a man in a white coat administers the strychnine. The film then shows a moment when the animal’s eye emits violet-blue flashes, followed by nothing, though only seemingly so. What follows is a transition into sweetness, a continuation into death: the journey into death—the transfiguration—the images that return, only to vanish from memory, resurface from recollections in a purifying vortex that restores them to their essence. It is the gradual disintegration of the image into form, then into colors, then into light, and ultimately to the beginning: the vibration that constitutes the matrix of sound, light, and life. It is the cosmos that has made that flesh suitable for consumption over the course of a million years.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 1

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
