Submarino

As children, Nick and his younger brother care for their baby brother while their mother struggles with alcoholism. Tragically, the baby dies, and both brothers feel responsible. Many years later, Nick is released from prison after serving time for assault. He lives in a shelter, drinks heavily, and tries to assist an old friend. When their mother passes away, Nick reunites with his brother at the funeral. The brother, who remains unnamed, is a single father to a young boy and also battles a worsening drug addiction. When the chance arises, he turns to drug dealing in an effort to secure his son's future. Eventually, the two brothers meet again.
