Support Your Local Serpent
Synopsis
The Blue Racer attempts to capture Japanese Beetle by hiding inside a hose, but the plan fails when Beetle turns on the faucet. He then tries to catch him by hopping, but this is also unsuccessful as Beetle evades him by crossing a rolling roller. During another chase, Blue Racer encounters a Venus flytrap, which swallows him but then spits him out, commenting that he tasted awful. Determined to catch Beetle from the air, Blue Racer inhales a can of helium and floats upward. However, when he opens his mouth, the loss of helium causes him to fly off course and land in a bag of genuine fertilizer.
