Synopsis
In the United States, some online game players engage in a form of trolling known as "swatting," where they attempt to provoke a real-life law enforcement response against another player. This is typically done by obtaining the target's name and address, then using a spoofed caller ID to make a false 911 emergency call. The result is often a heavily armed SWAT team arriving at the target's home, causing significant distress. These incidents are frequently recorded and streamed online for entertainment. *Swatted* is a documentary that examines this phenomenon, drawing from real 911 call recordings, YouTube gameplay footage, and personal testimonies from individuals who have been swatted.
