Synopsis
The Popular Revolutionary Army (ERP) was a military unit associated with an Argentine political party that drew inspiration from Mao's Cultural Revolution. The group's tactics included the kidnapping and assassination of government officials and representatives of foreign companies. The military junta's campaign against ERP's terrorist activities later provided a justification for state-sponsored terror targeting civilians unconnected to the organization. Gleyzer's so-called "secret film" documents the kidnapping of a manager from the Swift meat processing and cooling plant. The ERP demanded improved working conditions at the factory in exchange for his release.
