Synopsis
Syrinx is the first film by Ryan Larkin, a young artist associated with Norman McLaren’s student group. It retells the ancient Greek legend of Syrinx, the nymph who took refuge in river reeds to escape the pursuit of the goat-god Pan. To depict the story, Larkin uses a series of charcoal sketches. The film is accompanied by the music "Syrinx" by Claude Debussy, composed for solo flute.
