Synopsis
In a small kingdom where King William and Queen Olivia are often absent, corrupt councilors Ferenc and Lorenc abuse their authority by imposing increasingly heavy taxes. Their unjust demands are countered by the noble robber Karaba, who ambushes tax collectors and returns the seized money to the people. After the birth of his daughter Anička, Karaba lays down his outlaw tools and returns to a quiet life as a potter, even as the royal couple gives birth to a son, Jakub, and the ministers' greed threatens to pull Karaba back into his role as a defender of the common people.
