Synopsis
Tapi! is a short documentary that examines a pivotal moment in the life of Kenyan ritual healer Jackson, one of the last practitioners of the ritual healing practice known as utapishi, or "tapi." The local Christian church leaders express disapproval of the ritual's influence and take the matter to court. In response, Jackson resists the potential prohibition of tapi by Christian church movements that appear intent on erasing the complex history of a people.
