Synopsis
Emma Burke is exhausted from balancing her roles as a wife, mother, and successful paralegal. Seeking a break from her life in Boston, she accepts the chance to travel to Hawaii. The trip, however, is not for leisure; she has promised to fulfill the final wishes of her late Hawaiian-born surrogate mother. Leaving her husband, Mike, to care for their two children, Emma returns to Hawaii for the first time since her childhood, where she is reunited with Kala, her childhood friend and the son of her late surrogate parent.
