Synopsis

The people who brought the film *Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi* (2001) (also known as *Spirited Away*) to the screen include Hayao Miyazaki as director, writer, and co-producer, with Studio Ghibli as the production company. The film is based on a story by Hayao Miyazaki and features character designs by Hayao Miyazaki and Takahiro Kimura. The film was produced by Toshio Suzuki and co-produced by Tokuma Shoten, with music composed by Joe Hisaishi. It was released in Japan on July 20, 2001, and internationally under the title *Spirited Away*.
