The Awakening
Synopsis
Sara lives in a small town where everyone knows each other and her life is an open book. Left in charge of her family home, she struggles to keep up with mortgage payments, complicated by the fact that her ex-boyfriend is the bank manager trying to foreclose. To make ends meet, she takes in boarders and unknowingly rents a room to an international criminal evading a bounty hunter, John Flynn. When the bounty hunter arrives, the criminal flees. Flynn reluctantly agrees to let Sara help, offering her a partnership with half the bounty if they catch the fugitive in time. What follows is a chaotic journey in which Sara discovers that she is far from the boring and predictable person she believed herself to be.
