Synopsis
Bruno is a middle manager at a paper company who initially embraces being laid off as a potential opportunity. However, after two years of unsuccessful job searching, his optimism gives way to desperation. As his wife takes on two jobs to support the family, the strain on their marriage grows, reflecting their declining financial stability. In a drastic and darkly calculated move, Bruno devises a plan to eliminate his fellow job applicants, aiming to be the sole qualified candidate remaining.

Cinemas keep roughly half of every ticket sold, and a wide release’s marketing often costs about as much again as the film — so a movie needs to gross around 2.5× its production budget just to break even theatrically.
