Synopsis
Douglas is a foreign entrepreneur who travels to Russia in 1885 with the goal of selling an experimental steam-driven timber harvester in Siberia. Jane serves as his assistant. During her journey, she encounters two men who significantly impact her life: Andrej Tolstoy, a young and attractive cadet with whom she shares an interest in opera, and General Radlov, a powerful figure who is captivated by her beauty and proposes marriage.
