Synopsis
In rural Connecticut, baseball players Ben and Mickey struggle to survive a zombie plague. To defend themselves, they form a battery—a defensive duo consisting of a catcher and a pitcher who work together to outwit the batter, who in this case is a zombie. The two, with Ben being tough and Mickey more gentle, often clash over the best approach to their predicament. Their situation takes an unexpected turn when they hear a human voice over their walkie-talkies, leaving them to wonder whether it signals rescue, as Mickey hopes, or if Ben's suspicion that it may not be trustworthy is correct.
