Synopsis
In the film, movie star Charlie Castle refuses to sign a new seven‑year contract with Hollywood producer Stanley Hoff, expressing dissatisfaction with the studio’s low‑quality productions and a desire to begin a new life. His estranged wife supports his decision, while his talent agent advises him to reconsider. When Castle remains uncooperative, Hoff attempts to compel compliance through blackmail.
