The Birthday Party
Synopsis
Mickey's friends organize a surprise birthday party for him at Minnie's house. The chef presents a cake with two candles, but when Mickey blows, he sends the entire cake onto the chef's face while the candles remain lit. Mickey then opens his gift, a small piano. He performs a duet with Minnie on "I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Baby," followed by an instrumental version of "The Darktown Strutter's Ball," which prompts everyone to dance, including Mickey and Minnie, as the piano stools continue to play on their own. Mickey later plays "There's No Place Like Home" on a xylophone before joining Minnie for another piece. The xylophone then becomes mischievous and ultimately tosses Mickey into a fish bowl.
