Synopsis
An ancient skeleton was discovered in Jerusalem within a tomb belonging to a wealthy individual. Analysis of the wrist and leg bones suggests the cause of death was crucifixion. Additional evidence, including a gold coin marked with the insignia of Pontius Pilate and faint markings around the skull, has led authorities to consider the possibility that the remains could belong to Jesus Christ. The discovery prompts various groups—politicians, religious leaders, extremists, and individuals who employ terror—each to confront their beliefs and identities as they pursue the truth, often at great personal risk.
