The Brides Are Coming
Synopsis
Jelena runs an inn in a remote rural location and lives with her two sons, Martin and Jakov. Martin has been married to Kata for five years but has been unable to have children. Jakov shares a bed with his mother in suggestive postures that imply an incestuous relationship, though he is emotionally attached to Kata. Every night, he hears her cries as her sexual encounters with Martin end in violence. One day, Jakov reaches his breaking point and leaves. The next morning, Kata is found dead. Two new characters then arrive: an elderly man, revealed to be Martin's father, who decides to settle there and declares his intention to die in that place. A young girl also arrives, and Martin takes her in as his new wife.
