The Calm
Synopsis
A young man in his twenties is released from prison after serving a three-year sentence. He aims to build a new life in a place where he is unknown, longing for a steady job, a wife, and a family. He partially achieves these goals before encountering a conflict on a construction site between a corrupt boss and workers secretly organizing a strike. He becomes a pawn for one side while trying to remain loyal to his ideals on the other. The film was shot in 1976 and not released for five years.
