The Cat in the Closet
Synopsis
The Fan family struggled with expressing love even before the death of their son, Wei. Following his loss, they became more emotionally distant. Lei-Ya, the mother, began spending excessive time caring for street cats, while Qing, the daughter, moved out and seldom returned home. Yan-Ming, the father, attempted to maintain normalcy by appearing cheerful and polite to those around him. Eight years later, the three family members, each carrying unresolved disappointment and anxiety, reunite in their old home. What begins as a seemingly happy gathering soon turns tense as they are forced to confront their lingering grief and pain.
