Synopsis

For 40 years, the close-knit community on Arthur Avenue has maintained the tradition of lighting Christmas luminaries. This year, however, the custom is put on hold after Matt Norman, a teenage resident, is hospitalized and urgently requires a heart transplant. As his parents, Ann and Mike, pray anxiously at his bedside, a donor is found. Meanwhile, in Detroit, a mother is also at her son’s hospital bed in distress. Moved by Matt’s situation, his neighbors decide to honor him in the only way they know how, hoping their gesture might ultimately help save his life.
