Synopsis
Two intertwining narratives unfold: in one, Maggie Andrews, a young music teacher, is diagnosed with a heart condition and faces a terminal decline, prompting her son Nathan to desperately seek a pair of Christmas shoes for her before her death. In the other, attorney Robert Layton and his wife Kate experience a growing emotional distance, which reaches a critical point during the Christmas season when Kate steps in to lead the school choir in Maggie's place.
