Synopsis
Al Shines, once a dominant figure in the U.S. race car track circuit, struggles to start his own racing team after being fired by his sponsor, Robin Cates. Cates replaces Al with his daughter, Kylie Shines, who is young and inexperienced. Kylie harbors resentment toward her widowed father's frequent absences and faces competition from Kid Walker, a young but established racing champion. As Kylie attempts to prove herself against Walker, their relationship becomes an on-again, off-again affair. Meanwhile, Robin Cates follows a marketing strategy that involves manipulating both Walker and the Shines racers to achieve his goals.
