Synopsis
In the 1860s, independent French-Canadian woman Vivienne Le Coudy begins a journey with Danish immigrant Holger Olsen, seeking to build a life together in the frontier town of Elk Flats, Nevada. When Holger chooses to enlist in the Union forces during the early stages of the Civil War, Vivienne is left to navigate life on her own in a town dominated by a corrupt mayor.
