The Desperate Trail
“No one escapes from Marshal Bill Speakes.”
Synopsis
Amiable con man Jack Cooper is traveling west on a stagecoach, heading toward the next group of people he plans to deceive. Fiery-tempered Sarah O'Rourke is also on board, handcuffed to lawman Bill Speakes and bound for execution. Within a few hours, they should all reach their destinations. However, the journey takes an unexpected turn when Cooper and O'Rourke escape from the stagecoach and flee into the wilderness. The pursuit begins as the law gives way to a high-stakes chase featuring fugitives Linda Fiorentino and Craig Sheffer, who are hunted by a self-reliant marshal, Sam Elliott.
