The Devil

Synopsis
A young Polish nobleman named Jakub is rescued from imprisonment by a stranger, who in return demands a list of Jakub’s fellow conspirators. As Jakub travels with his enigmatic savior across the country, he becomes increasingly disturbed by the surrounding chaos and moral decay. This exposure leads to his mental breakdown, and he eventually descends into madness, becoming a mass murderer.
