Synopsis

When a U.S. senator is mysteriously murdered in a manner bearing the distinctive signature of the legendary Soviet assassin "Cassius," retired CIA operative Paul Shepherson is forced to team up with rookie FBI agent Ben Geary to investigate. Shepherson, who spent much of his career pursuing Cassius, believes his longtime nemesis to be dead, but takes the case at the urging of his former supervisor, Tom Highland. Geary, whose Master's thesis focused on Shepherson's pursuit of the Soviet killer, is convinced that Cassius has returned.
