Synopsis
Moldavanka is a legendary district of pre-revolutionary Odesa, a bustling, carefree world brimming with vibrant southern life. It is home to a colorful, cheerful crowd, as well as the pride of Moldavanka — the charming bandit Benya Krik, nicknamed the King, son of the horse dealer Mendel Krik. The whole story begins when Mendel decides to leave his family and run off with the young beauty Marusya, selling his famous Odesa stable...
