Synopsis

At the start of the Civil War, young Billy runs away from home to join the Northern Army as a drummer. He is wounded in battle and captured, but later escapes to deliver an important message to his commanding officer, ultimately losing his life in the process. The film was preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2007.
