The First 100 Years
Synopsis
A man rescues his beloved from Black Mike and they enjoy a happy marriage. He hires a cook who is blunt, domineering, and constantly seen with a cigar. Unexpectedly, the couple is visited by the man's old friend, Roland Stone, who is bluff and portly. Roland grows close to the newlywed's wife, and this bond strengthens after the husband employs a new cook, the attractive Miss Gainsborough, who shows him an excessive amount of friendly attention. That night, a prowler is spotted, Miss Gainsborough faints, and the husband rushes to her aid, only to be grabbed and held by her. His wife becomes upset and decides to leave with Roland. Is the marriage now over?
