Synopsis
In the early 1960s, five young African-American men form an amateur vocal group named The Five Heartbeats. After a difficult beginning, the group refines its sound, turns professional, and achieves success as a prominent music act. Throughout their journey, they confront numerous challenges that reveal the difficult truths of the music industry.
