The Gendarme Takes Off
Synopsis
After retiring, the entire group from Cruchot's police station has moved on with their lives. Cruchot now resides with his wealthy wife in her castle, where he is plagued by boredom and clashes with the butler, who prevents him from doing even the simplest tasks. When one of the retired officers suffers from amnesia following an accident, the others come together and kidnap him, taking him on a journey to their former workplaces and through their shared memories. Dressed in their old uniforms, they cause quite a stir in St. Tropez.
