Synopsis
Victor Sluzhkin takes a job as a geography teacher at a secondary school in his hometown of Perm, located in the Urals. Struggling with the monotony of provincial life, he turns to vodka, becomes entangled in a complicated relationship with a young student, and faces the challenges of teaching difficult teenagers. Dubbed "Geographer" by the students, Sluzhkin tries to break free from the oppressive reality of small-town Russia by joining an adventurous rafting trip through the Urals. Accompanied by a group of restless, thrill-seeking students, he confronts the unpredictable and often harsh natural environment, ultimately seeking personal clarity and truth.
