Synopsis
In the aftermath of World War I, a young woman in Copenhagen, facing unemployment and an unexpected pregnancy, is taken in by a charismatic older woman who involves her in running an underground adoption agency. The two develop an unexpected relationship, but their bond is disrupted when a startling discovery alters the course of their lives.
