The Gold Spider
Synopsis
Some gnomes are on a quest to find a remarkable spider that weaves webs of golden coins. As they pursue their search, they remain unaware that their every move is being closely observed by a poor woodcutter, who also enters their caves after they have captured the spider and imprisoned it there. The woodcutter watches in amazement as the spider creates gold and other items, and in this scene, the moving picture camera has demonstrated its ability to produce some impressive visual effects. Ultimately, the woodcutter steals the golden spider. (Moving Picture World)
