The Hat Box Mystery
“Like-a-Jack-in-the-Box----Murder jumped out and claimed its Victim!”
Synopsis
Susan Hart, assistant to private detective Russ Ashton, is given a camera hidden inside a hat box and tasked with taking a photograph of a woman. A gun is unintentionally placed in the box, and the woman ends up being killed. Susan is subsequently charged with murder, prompting Russ and his somewhat ineffective associate, Harvard, to take on the case.
