Synopsis
The Hollywood Ten were a group of screenwriters and directors who were charged with contempt of court after challenging the House Un-American Activities Committee and its controversial, self-incriminatory questions during the Red Scare. Their act of defiance led to prison sentences of one year each, based solely on their expressions of concern and the exercise of their constitutional rights as citizens. This account presents their story, their version of the facts, and their perspectives.
