Synopsis
Swiss distribution company Alina Film is majority-producing the period road movie 'The Indies' (Les Indes) alongside Spain’s Lastor Media. The film will be showcased as a work in progress at the ECAM Forum co-production market in Madrid from June 9 to 11. Alina Film previously partnered with Lastor on the Toronto-winning Spanish film 'They Will Be Dust.' The project is described as not being character-driven but rather image-driven, emphasizing visual storytelling. The collaboration marks a continuation of the successful partnership between Alina Film and Lastor Media, with 'The Indies' set to explore a historical narrative through a cinematic lens.
